Membership of the Society

Membership of the SPMPO is open to graduates of osteopathy (Osteopathic Practitioners) under the bylaws of the society as set out in Schedule B to the Society Act of the Province of British Columbia, with the following additions:

1. The members of the society must be able to show proof of having graduated from a four-year, full-time, osteopathic training programme, OR, be able to demonstrate that they have had equivalent hours of comprehensive osteopathic training.
2. The members of the society are required to show proof of having public liability insurance at the time of joining the society, OR must obtain that insurance coverage within three months of joining.
