We currently have an Osteopathic Practitioner working with us but he is going to be moving his practice to North Vancouver. His caseload is already quite established because he has been working with us for almost 3 years.

About us: 

Back in Action is a  busy multidisciplinary clinic located in Main Street Whistler BC. Established in 2010 our founders had a vision to create a superior rehabilitation clinic in Whistler . All 3 founders have been involved heavily travelling with sport teams, many world cups, X games and Olympic games as therapists and have a strong foundation in Orthopaedic rehabilitation, sports injuries, pain management and concussion rehabilitation. The clinic has solid roots in the Whistler community with a strong  team of 8 Physiotherapists, 1 OT, 2 Certified hand therapists, 5 Registered massage therapists and 1 Osteopathic manual practitioner. 

 We are very established in the community and have done work with many community groups as well as Whistler Blackcomb. We developed a rehabilitation app for their staff and for others to use as well as numerous programs in injury prevention and concussion support.  We first  established as a Sports Physiotherapy clinic and are involved with a multitude of elite and recreational sports. We are the lead therapists looking after Canada snowboard disciplines as well as ski cross and have many affiliations in the community with other sporting bodies at a local and provincial level. We are manually based orthopaedic.We offer also concussion rehabilitation at a high level and we have a pilot program with Worksafe BC on early concussion treatment.  In the past 5 years we have expanded our services to offer RMT, OT and Osteopathy. We now seek to expand our Osteopathic services and seek a qualified motivated Osteopathic manual practitioner to join our team.   This position will ideally start in time for the winter ski season in Whistler.  Hours are somewhat flexible and will expand as the service grows.

What we are looking for:

  • Osteopathic Practitioner qualification and ideally some previous experience.
  • Must be a member of and in good standing with OsteopathyBC and have their own professional insurance.
  • Candidates must be personable, enthusiastic, professional and somewhat self starters as this will be expanding our service in this realm.
  • Some experience in private practice would be a great advantage
  • Must be comfortable as part of a collaborative team and enjoy the team atmosphere. 
  • The Practitioner must be ideally  skilled in structural, visceral and cranial osteopathic approaches. Advanced and post-graduate courses a bonus.
  • The Practitioner must also be comfortable and compliant with Covid-19 safety procedures and clinic policy

Our Clinic: 

  • 2 spaces one across the street from the other, one with reception desk, beautiful spaces with good light and great central location with easy parking.
  • Electric treatment tables, rehab equipment and full reception with also online booking via Jane practice management system.
  • The clinic is currently operating at full capacity with a Work Safe BC approved Covid-19 Safety plan.

The Vancouver Osteopathy Centre has treatment rooms for rent at two of our locations in beautiful Kitsilano, Vancouver. Both have parking, wheelchair accessibility, an elevator and we’re close to transit. Vancouver is an exceptionally beautiful place to live, work and play.
